Niki Lee Studio
Peony

Niki Lee was born in Lawrence, Kansas in 1972.  She has lived and worked in San Francisco since 1991.  Her work has been exhibited throughout the Western United States, including SOMArts, the deYoung Museum, SF; Think Visual, Point Arena; and The Museum of Contemporary Native Arts, Santa Fe.  She was the youngest artist to be included in the California Academy of Sciences' online exhibit: Contemporary American Indian Art.

Lee's work explores metaphysical space, what is within space all around us—the structure, the meaning & the sight.  This study through painting, layering of lines and color, is Lee's technique for moving into a more profound and comprehensive understanding of the meaning of existence, of the structure and meaning of what is real.  This inquiry into the boundaries of reality pursues conceptual changes and expansion of mind.
